1. Run the Command prompt in windows. You can do this by going to Start > Run (This is the search field in Vista or Windows 7).  Enter “cmd” and press enter key.
2. Type “ipconfig /release” (without quotes) and press enter key.

3. Next, type “ipconfig /renew” (without quotes) and press enter key.

4. Lastly, type “exit” (without quotes) then press enter key.  This will close the window.
